Stillness and warmth
Qualities of craniosacral therapy
I was listening to a podcast the other day, I can’t actually remember who was speaking now, but I wrote down this statement which I heard and liked, ‘ In order to heal, we need stillness and warmth’.
I think I liked it because it instantly reminded me of craniosacral therapy, whereby stillness and warmth are very much qualities that we work with.
The centre of healing
In stillness we can sense and attune with the original field of health. In stillness there is no need to get anything or anywhere. It’s the true centre of power, love and healing.
And I don’t mean that in any airy fairy, wishful thinking kind of way. I mean that if we can learn to get still and listen in safety (that’s where the warmth comes in) we can develop the resilience to find our own path out of whatever fix we find ourselves in.
It’s really hard to find stillness on your own though, sometimes we need an ally to keep us focused and courageous.
The shift towards optimism
This is what I do. I know that we are all capable of making that shift towards optimism and opening and I hold that space for you to step into.
The healing journey is not straightforward, there will be all sorts of ups and downs, breakthroughs and setbacks. But if we keep nurturing the capacity to open, change is inevitable. As Sharon Satlzberg said, ‘The healing is in the return’.
